If you know Camille, you know what a heart full of love looks like. For her entire life, she has navigated complex medical challenges including enduring 9 long years of dialysis, and the hardest heartbreak of her life when she lost her dad to COVID in 2022, after already supporting him through two bouts of cancer.
When Camille finally received a critically-needed kidney transplant, it was a brand-new lease on life! For the first time in ten years, she felt completely fulfilled: working full-time, earning a promotion to Starbucks supervisor, and she set out to live a life of peace and adventure. She finally got to take vacations and just recently got to watch her best friend get married in Texas.
But all of that hard-earned progress and joy was ripped away in a single doctor’s appointment after weeks of unknowns and terrifying questions.
Now, Camille is facing her biggest hurdle yet: she is currently hospitalized in Los Angeles, receiving treatment for a very aggressive form of cancer. She never, ever thought she would be fighting a fight like this at such a young age, especially after already surviving so much.
As you can imagine, back-to-back emergency stays followed by intensive cancer treatments have required her to take leave from work for the foreseeable future, and this comes with an overwhelming financial burden. Camille needs to focus 100% of her energy on healing, resting, and fighting this aggressive disease, and not stressing over bills and expenses.

- Our immediate priority is to build a safety net for Camille so that her bills are completely covered while she is in the hospital and during her recovery. No one should have to worry about keeping the lights on or keeping their furbabies fed while fighting this fight.
- Because she has spent so much of her life just trying to get through every medical crisis, moments of pure joy have often been sidelined. If we exceed our initial goal for her medical and living expenses, every extra dollar raised will go toward funding a dream vacation so Camille can make beautiful memories outside of a hospital room, getting back to the life of adventure she fought so hard to start.
