My name is Camille, and I am reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer, and the journey ahead is filled with uncertainty and difficult decisions. Facing serious health problems has changed my daily life in ways I never expected, and it has made me realize how important it is to lean on the kindness and support of others.
After my first surgery at Mayo Clinic, things didn’t go as planned. I developed serious infections in my abdomen and right lung. My husband Brian stayed with me for 23 days as I endured more surgeries, procedures, chest tubes, and medication trials, trying to find something to help me get better. Those weeks were incredibly difficult, both physically and emotionally, but having Brian by my side gave me strength to keep fighting.
As I begin treatment, I am doing my best to stay strong and hopeful. However, the costs of traveling to medical appointments, covering lost wages, and keeping up with living expenses are overwhelming. Every day brings new challenges, and I am learning to accept help where I can. Your support will allow me to focus on my health and recovery without the constant worry about finances.
Having health problems is a very humbling experience, and asking for help is even more humbling. I am deeply grateful for any support you can offer—whether it’s a donation, a kind word, or simply sharing my story. Thank you for being here for me during this difficult time.
