Support Camille's 2,000 Nautical Mile Sailing Adventure

Hello,

I'm Camille Tinker, I'm 8 years old and I love sailing.

I started sailing my wooden Opti "Guppy" when I was 6. Now I'm in Champs fleet with Santa Barbara Youth Sailing Foundation, Ventura Yacht Club, and Best Coast Sailing. I also participated in USODA's Horizon Program Clinics in Texas and Massachusetts. I sail my boat almost every day after school because I love it so much.

Last summer, 2024, I sailed with Laura Dekker and her family aboard The Laura Dekker Sailing Foundation's 72' Ketch "Guppy XL." Kids from around the world and I sailed 377 nautical miles from the Netherlands to the Wadden Islands and Helgoland in Germany. This was amazing because we got to learn about the boat and see beautiful new places while having fun adventures together. I even got to teach a new friend about Opti sailing because Laura had an Opti aboard Guppy XL.

This year I plan to go on a new amazing adventure with Laura, her family, and kids from around the world through the Laura Dekker World Sailing Foundation. This is an even bigger adventure so I can use your help to make it happen.

This new adventure will take us 2,000 nautical miles from the Netherlands, through Scotland in the Caledonian Channel, the Shetland Islands, the Faroe Islands, to Norway, and finally back to the Netherlands again.

I'm so excited to learn and grow during this amazing voyage.
