As some of you may know, my Mom, Camille, has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.
With everything that's already going on in the world for all of us, in addition to having catastrophic health insurance, my parents' medical expenses have been piling up quickly since she received the diagnosis.
So far she has gone through two surgeries, is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and has a major lung surgery scheduled for early August (she will then continue chemo afterwards).
I may be a little bias, but my Mom is truly the most incredible person that I know. And if you are lucky enough to know her as well, you know she is kind, patient, inspiring, uplifting, and is always making the most of every day. I'm not kidding. She could have the longest, most exhausting day with work and 7 kids, and yet you'll still hear from a distance "Alright, what game are we playing?"
She has been through more than most go through in several lifetimes. But even now, through cancer, she is still Camille. Making jokes, planning family activities, being there for others, and making the most of every day.
Both my parents have done so much for us, and I would love to help take some of the stress off of them during this time, so they can focus on her fighting this. Which if anyone can, I know it's Camille.
