On July 31, 2025, our family welcomed Camila Elsie and Carmen Lucia, twin girls born unexpectedly at just 26 weeks gestation via C-section. Though incredibly tiny, these two little fighters came into the world full of strength — and they have a long road ahead in the NICU, where they’ll remain until at least November.
This wasn’t the plan. Mom and Dad were still preparing for the final trimester — hoping to reach a safe delivery window, setting up the nursery, and looking forward to celebrating with friends and family. But because of how early the girls arrived, they weren’t able to have a baby shower and were left completely unprepared, both emotionally and physically.
To make things even more challenging, they were in the middle of renovating their home when the girls made their early arrival. The nursery wasn't finished, and a back door that originally opened into the girls’ room was in the process of being relocated for safety and privacy. That project came to a sudden halt — and now, instead of finishing preparations, they’re navigating hospitals, logistics, and long nights apart from their babies.
This is not their first NICU experience. Their son was born prematurely as well — not nearly as early — and while they’ve walked this path before, they know all too well the physical, emotional, and spiritual toll it can take. This time, the weight is doubled — two fragile babies, another child at home, unfinished renovations, and the uncertainty that comes with medical complexities.
They’re now juggling life between the hospital and home — caring for a young child, dealing with an unfinished house, and trying to be present for their daughters in the NICU. The financial needs are significant: time off work, gas, food, hospital parking, medical bills, and all the baby essentials they never had a chance to gather.
We are asking you to come alongside them — in prayer first, and if you feel led, through financial giving. Every dollar will go directly to supporting their family during this deeply challenging season.
We’ve set up two ways to give, to meet people where they’re most comfortable:
Here at GoFundMe – for those more familiar with public donation platforms
Or on GiveSaveGo:https://www.givesendgo.com/twinsgirls for those who would like to give and share prayer support
Funds go to the same cause — we just want to make it easy for everyone to help in whatever way they're comfortable.
Whether through prayer, a gift, or simply sharing this with others, thank you for lifting up Camila, Carmen, and their parents. We believe in the power of prayer. We believe in the goodness of our God. And we believe these girls are already showing His strength through their lives.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” – Jeremiah 1:5
