Because He Deserves Tomorrow

My nephew is walking through something no family is ever prepared for. Cameron Southerland has been diagnosed with a deep brain tumor that is causing seizures. The normal medication is not helping stop them, and with each one, his health and brain function deteriorate. In the coming days, he will be traveling to Vanderbilt for extensive tests and studies as doctors work to understand the best path forward. Cameron has a wife, a two-year-old, and a two-month-old child that he alone works to support. His wife, Rachel, has to drive him to work each day with the boys in tow. The family needs help with medical expenses, food, time off work to pay the rent, and basic needs while he is off work. Cameron is a 2021 graduate of West Greene High School and a 2023 graduate of TCAT Morristown. They attend Warrensburg Baptist Church, live in Bulls Gap, and he works in Pigeon Forge for a countertop company. He has been told that he needs to go on disability, but he feels the drive to provide for his family as the only income while the boys are young.

As you can imagine, the emotional toll is heavy — and the medical and travel expenses add another layer of stress no family should carry alone.

We’re starting this fundraiser because he deserves tomorrow.

He deserves answers.

He deserves comfort, care, and hope.

And he deserves every chance possible.
