Support Camden Prep's Transformational EJI Trip

I am raising funds for Camden Prep High School's third annual trip to Montgomery, Alabama to visit the Equal Justice Initiative's Legacy Sites: The Legacy Museum, the National Memorial for Peace & Justice, and the Freedom Monument Sculpture Park. Your support in funding this trip will allow a group of students from Camden to have an unforgettable and transformational experience.

On the trip, Camden Prep students will engage deeply with each of the Legacy sites, all of which make a clear argument for the necessity of confronting our American past of racial terror if we want to understand and take action in our current climate. There has never been a more important time for this kind of education than right now in 2025.

The first two trips literally changed the trajectory of many of my students' lives. Trip alumni have found their voices and leadership within our school community; they have written about their EJI Trip on college essays; they have gone on to study Black History in college. Your donation will provide this singular opportunity for more of our kids.

All funds will go directly towards airfare, food, and hotel rooms. For each student we will need roughly $1,000, so the more we raise, the more students we will be able to bring.
