Support Cam and Kait's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
We are Bob and Jeanne Banks. Twenty nine yrs. ago on June 19 we welcomed our first of 3 beautiful boys into this world. We want to share a bit about our son Cameron, how he met the love of his life, and the struggle's they are currently experiencing.

Cam and Kait’s love story began December 2021, as they met through a dating site like most people their age. It didn’t take long for everyone to see they were meant for each other. Cam has always been kindhearted, intelligent, outspoken, spontaneous and a kidder like his Dad. Kait is nurturing, compassionate, funny, strong, and driven. It is truly special to see them together, and the love they have for one another. Their lives were great! Kait was working as a nurse and Cam was working different jobs after being medically discharged from the Marine Corp. Their relationship progressed, they took trips, spent time with family playing games and laughing a lot with their two beautiful dogs Remi and Lucy.

In 2023, Cam accepted a job to work for MobileMini in Savannah, Ga. With this new opportunity, he and Kait relocated that April and became engaged that May. They were beyond excited to start this next chapter in their lives! Unfortunately, this is when Cam’s health journey went south. He started to experience unmanageable pain in his back, hips and legs, which caused multiple hospitalizations. We were heartbroken with the diagnoses in June of 2023 of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Cam went through eight months of vigorous chemotherapy and finished in January 2024 when he was placed into remission and started his two year maintenance therapy. We were all hopeful this two year maintenance would be the answer to keep Cam’s leukemia in remission. However, in June of this year he started experiencing persistent nausea, ferocious reoccurring headache’s, and vomiting with no relief.

July 2024, Cam had an abnormal brain MRI and was sent to Northside Hospital. After multiple tests we received the devastating diagnosis that the Leukemia was back in his spine. The Drs have started him back on a hard hitting chemo regimen and there is still a lot of uncertainty around his long term treatment plan. He has been through unimaginable pain and trauma this past year. Through all of this hardship Kait has shown unending love, dedication and a great ability to advocate for the love of her life!

Kait is a nurse and has had to take a lot of time off from work and now a leave of absence to provide care for the love of her life. Since Cam has been unable to work since his diagnosis many of our family and friends have asked how they can help. At this point we feel a monetary donation is the best way to show them love and support.
Cameron and Kait will appreciate the financial blessings to pay for medical bills, treatment, groceries, gas, bills and whatever life throws at them.
Maybe when Cam is better than can actually go on a Honeymoon!

With Gratitude,
Bob and Jeanne Banks

P.S. We appreciate all the love and support, and ask for everyone to share this message! If there are others ways you’d like to help please message us directly.
