Hey everyone, it’s been a long time since we’ve made a Gofundme post which has been a good thing. Unfortunately for those of you who aren’t aware Cam and Amanda had to make an emergency trip back to the Mayo Clinic in March due to some serious issues with Cam’s stoma. He was diagnosed with a slipped nipple valve, therefore being unable to intubate as needed. (Which is life threatening, not being able to insert the cath to intubate…he gave us all a good scare.) He spent a week inpatient at Mayo with the end conclusion being that he would need surgery to repair it but had to wait for a few health issues to be resolved first. Since then he has had to have a tube consistently coming out of his stoma to empty his pouch until surgery could be done. He has developed severe skin erosion on his stomach and an actual hole from it below his stoma. This has been very painful for him. After talking to his team from Mayo it has been decided that he will be admitted first thing Monday morning to Mayo for surgery this upcoming week. (Not sure exactly what day yet.) As you can imagine this has put a financial strain on them being so sudden. Flights, a place to stay, car rental, food, and loss of wages while he’ll be out. We ask if y’all could please pray and if you’re able to donate to take extra stress off of them it would be such a blessing. I just know God has to have a break for them in the very near future! He’s a good father and they’ve been through so very much.
