Hi everyone,

I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister Lia and my brother-in-law Calvin. I've had the pleasure and privilege of witnessing their journey for the last 10 years and it’s been amazing to watch their lives intertwine through thick and thin, leaning on each other and caring for each other deeply. Calvin is a goofball, doggo daddy, giant towering softy whose dance moves bring the widest grin to anyone who has the pleasure of witnessing them.

On Saturday April, 5th, Calvin was in a traumatic motorcycle accident. Calvin was kept alive on scene by an ER nurse and doctor who happened to be behind him, before being life flighted to Sutter Emergency Trauma Center in Roseville. Calvin has undergone multiple surgeries and suffered global brain damage alongside multiple broken bones and internal bleeding. Despite this catastrophic impact on his body, Calvin has fought and defied expectations to stay with us.

Calvin has made slow progress, but there are still a lot of unknowns of what the recovery journey will be, other than, it will be extensive.

I am hoping to raise this money to support Lia and Calvin as they navigate this long road ahead with now only one income. Money raised will go towards Calvin's medical expenses and supporting Lia's travel back and forth to the hospital and eventual rehabilitation facility (an hour and a half from their home). Any amount is deeply appreciated and helpful and your support means the world to our family in this heavy time.
