Support Calvin Chiang's Heart Recovery

Calvin Chiang had a serious heart attack while leaving work on Christmas Eve. Doctors have just decided that he will receive a transplant. This will not happen any time soon, and there will be a long and difficult road to fully qualify. Ramona has been with him the last ten days to support him, but her time off work is limited and will end soon.

It is obvious at this point that Calvin has always given so much of his heart to the Palo Alto community that there is not enough left for himself. We have all been lucky to have him as a coworker and a server for the last few decades. If you are able, please help him and his family with the financial burdens that this will continue to place upon them.

UPDATE: I asked Calvin if he would like to thank you all personally, and he said he was so overwhelmed and amazed and also exhausted that he cannot do it right now.

Many of you are asking about visiting him. He will possibly be transferred this week, but the timing is uncertain. Text him before you go.
