Support Calli's Healing After Tragedy
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Olivia, and I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Calli, who is facing unimaginable heartbreak and hardship.
On January 27, 2025, Calli, her boyfriend, and my husband spent the day snowboarding. On her second run of the day, Calli suffered a severe ankle injury and had to stop riding. While she rested, her boyfriend and my husband continued snowboarding. After their last run of the day, the man of Calli’s dreams—the person she planned to spend the rest of her life with—suddenly took his own life within seconds in her vehicle while my husband was driving. Calli was in the back seat and they had to witness the unthinkable.
Since that day, Calli has been navigating deep grief, trauma, and financial hardship. Her injury requires surgery that her insurance will not cover, and given her profession, she will be unable to work for at least eight weeks while recovering. However, beyond the physical recovery, she is also facing immense emotional and physiological challenges that may extend her time away from work even longer. The weight of this trauma will be something she struggles with for a long time as she lost the person that was her best friend, life partner, and her world.
The tragedy also resulted in an ambulance transfer and an emergency room visit, adding even more medical bills that Calli must now take on alone. She also has to replace her vehicle, as it was deemed a biohazard and cannot be restored. Beyond the financial burden, the car holds traumatic memories she cannot relive.
Through all of this, Calli has shown incredible strength, starting trauma therapy and group counseling to process everything she has been through. But she needs our help. I want to offer her some sense of relief as she heals physically, emotionally, physiologically, and financially.
Please consider donating—any amount, big or small, will make a difference. If you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world. Thank you for your kindness and support during this heartbreaking time.
With gratitude,
Olivia
