If you have ever been a customer of Super Clean Car Wash in Pittsburg, you might recognize my son, Donnie, and his best friend, Calli.

A few days ago, everything changed for us. Calli and my son were on their way to work when she lost control of her car and is now fighting for her life in the ICU. She has a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones. Now we’re taking things one hour at a time.

He was one of the first on the scene and has been by her side ever since. Her grandma traveled from out of state to be here, and with not much support locally, we’re all doing what we can to step in.

Between missed work, travel, and everything that comes with a situation like this, we are already so overwhelmed. We’re just trying to take some of that pressure off so they can focus on getting her through this. As his mother, I feel so helpless.
