Hello everyone, my name is Sasha and my boyfriend Jacob and I are raising funds for our beloved cat Callie. A few weeks ago, Callie started vomiting quite a bit. We took her to the vet and did bloodwork, which showed a very high white blood cell count. From there, the vet told us that she felt a mass, and a few days later, Callie was given an ultrasound. We found out that her "mass" was an extremely enlarged lymph node along with extreme intestinal irritation. From here, we were referred to a specialist, who told us that surgery is needed. She has gone from a little fat, 11 lbs to weighing 7.5 lbs due to the vomiting and not eating. On top of surgery, she is going to need a temporary feeding tube placed.
Callie is only eight and has a long life ahead of her. She was an extremely happy cat up until those few weeks ago. We are asking that people help us bring back our happy cat. We have a long battle ahead of us, but she will get better.
We have already spent around $3000 in fees and tests, which has drained our emergency savings. Just to have the surgeon perform their job costs us between $1300 and $1600. There is also the cost of anesthetic, monitoring, testing, medication, and the hospital visit which can total upwards of $6000.
