Support Callie Taylor’s Fight Against Cancer

Thanks so much for visiting this page. I’m Callie’s longtime friend, Stephanie, and I’m starting this account to help alleviate some of the financial stress that Callie shouldn't have to endure during her cancer battle.

A little bit about Callie, she is 40 years old and a single mom who loves the beach, gardening and above all else being a mom to her beloved son. She is a light to everyone and everything around her and truly brings joy and humor to every situation.

Life is unfair and she needs our help.

To be clear: Callie’s main focus is not asking for help, as that is very difficult for her to do. OUR main focus, as her tribe who loves her and supports her, is asking for help so she doesn’t have to.

In February of 2022, Callie went to the ER because of a cyst that had grown excessively large in a very short amount of time. It was recommended to have the mass removed and tested. Callie underwent a mastectomy in April of 2022 along with removing the tumor. She appeared to be doing well after the removal of the tumor but the results came back that she indeed has an extremely rare form of cancer called malignant phyllodes. A few months after the mastectomy further scans revealed that she now had many new tumors infiltrating her entire body.

Over the past few weeks she has met with several phyllodes specialists at Duke university, a Functional medicine practitioner and has undergone a series of tests but more testing is necessary to move forward with a treatment plan focused on alternative cancer treatments due to the extremely rare diagnosis. Many of you reading this are friends that have known Callie at some point throughout her life and my hope is that you will help carry her through this battle with cancer.

One thing of certainty is that Callie will need the most help with the financial toll this diagnosis has already placed upon her.

Outside of the deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, and living expenses, Callie will be extremely financially strapped as she has not been able to work. That means that she has no financial stability to sustain her during her treatment. Callie’s biggest focus is to maintain her son’s sense of normalcy. She wants him to have the least impact regarding this cancer diagnosis.

All funds raised will go to assist Callie’s financial and medical needs throughout this battle. Please keep Callie in your prayers and share this story with your family and friends. We will be updating this page as Callie’s treatment progresses.
