Support Calista's Future

Our seventeen year old niece, Calista, has faced more loss in her young life than most people ever will. When she was just three years old, her mother, who is our sister, passed away suddenly on May 16, 2010 from a pulmonary embolism. Eleven years later, on that very same date, May 16, 2021, her beloved older brother died from a rare and aggressive sarcoma. Then, on June 22, 2025, Calista’s father tragically passed away.

Despite this unimaginable heartbreak, Calista has continued forward with courage and determination. For the past three years, she has been living with her maternal grandparents, who have provided her with a loving and stable home. It is there where Calista enrolled in a new high school, made friends, joined clubs, and began volunteering. Calista has shown resilience and determination that truly inspire us all.

Calista is now preparing for the next step in her life. This September, she’ll begin university to study Mechanical Engineering, which is a dream she’s held onto despite everything she’s endured. We are asking for help to support Calista during this new chapter. Our goal is to give Calista the stability she needs to focus on her education, pursue her dreams, and continue healing.

We are reaching out to our family, friends, and community members, to help support Calista as she begins this new chapter. The funds raised will go directly toward her tuition and school fees, living expenses during university, counseling and mental health support.
