Last night, our family’s world changed in an instant. My cousin’s daughter Cali, who is just 7 years old, was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she will remain for the next several weeks as treatment begins. What started as a normal childhood moment quickly turned into words no family is ever prepared to hear. Since then, everything has shifted—home, work, routines, and plans are now centered around hospital rooms, treatment schedules, and learning how to navigate life one day at a time.
Over the next two years, Cali will undergo extensive treatment twice a week, requiring frequent trips to CHOP and long days away from home. While the focus is, and always will be, on her healing, the practical realities add up quickly—transportation to and from the hospital, meals during long treatment days, and the everyday costs that don’t stop just because life has changed. The family is doing everything they can to stay strong and present for Cali, and your support will help with travel, food, medical bills, and any other expenses that may arise during this time.
We are asking for help so the family can focus entirely on what matters most: being present, strong, and loving for their daughter. Any donation—no matter the size—means one less thing they have to worry about. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page or keeping them in your thoughts and prayers means just as much. Thank you for standing with this brave little girl and her family during the fight of their lives.
