I am organizing this fundraiser through BJJ Camp XP for families and community members in Calima, Colombia who were affected by the recent earthquake. Since 2022, Calima has welcomed us with open arms. What began as camps and experiences grew into real relationships with local families, athletes, kids, and small businesses. Now, many of those same neighbors are facing damaged homes, urgent needs for food and basic essentials, and in some cases, nowhere safe to stay. Some families are trying to recover what they can from homes that crumbled or became unsafe, while others are simply trying to get through each day with the basics they need.

I am based in the United States, and I will coordinate the support directly with our trusted relationships and boots on the ground in Calima. We are also running a Censo de Necesidades, a needs census, to identify and verify which families were most affected and what help is most urgent. That process helps us prioritize immediate support like food, water, essentials, temporary assistance, and help for families who need to recover belongings or find a safe place to stay. As needs become clearer, funds may also go toward repairs, construction materials, and other verified recovery needs. I will share updates whenever possible so donors can see how support is being used and the impact it is making.

BJJ Camp XP is not a nonprofit, but we are using the relationships and trust we have built in Calima to help a community that has given so much to us. Calima welcomed us into their community, and now it is our turn to show up for them. If you are able to give, please consider supporting this fundraiser and sharing it with others. Every donation, no matter the size, will help families in Calima take the next steps toward safety, recovery, and rebuilding.
