Support Caleigh After a Tragic Loss

Our friend, Caleigh, is one of those people that gets along with everyone. She’s the person that you turn to when you’ve had a tough day and the person who always has a smile on her face, no matter the situation.
Caleigh has been riding horses for 17 years and they have always been her passion and her happy place. Horses have been her therapy and kept her grounded. Caleigh’s first love and first pony, Charlie, passed away a few years back and she was nervous that she’d never find a horse that she’d love as much as him. Charlie was the horse that helped her get through the death of her father from brain cancer at a young age.
After losing Charlie, she decided not to purchase a new horse until she felt that connection again. But earlier this year, she began to lease Cadmus and fell in love with him. When Cadmus’s owners decided to sell him, Caleigh knew it was the opportunity she had been waiting for. She used all her savings and took a loan in order to pay for Cadmus, knowing it was worth it to own the horse she’d developed such a bond with.
Tragically, after only 3 weeks of owning Cadmus, he was in a freak accident that resulted in a broken leg and the heartbreaking decision to put him down.
This loss has been devastating for Caleigh as Cadmus was more than just a pet to her; he was a trusted companion and a loyal friend. He was the first horse that could’ve helped fill the hole that Charlie left. Caleigh spent countless hours training and caring for Cadmus, and the two of them had formed a deep bond that is difficult to put into words.
The loss of Cadmus has not only taken an emotional toll on Caleigh but a financial one as well. The cost of veterinary care and euthanasia is substantial, and on top of that, Caleigh now faces the challenge of purchasing a new horse, which is no small expense.
It is our hope that by starting a GoFundMe campaign, we are able to help Caleigh cover his medical expenses and potentially be able to purchase a new horse when she is ready. We believe that with your help, we can help Caleigh get back into the sport she loves so much and back into the saddle, where her happy place is.
Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference to Caleigh. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and we hope that you will consider donating to Caleigh's campaign.
