There are certain words no parent should have to hear, and “Burkitt’s Leukemia” are certainly included. After an ER visit on January 14, 2026, Caleb was admitted to the hospital and the tests began which led to an official diagnosis on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Caleb started chemo Weds Jan 21 and will have several more weeks in the hospital before he is able to go home. The good news is that Caleb’s doctors are very familiar with his type of cancer and are very confident that their plan, along with Caleb’s tenacity, will be a successful one. While there is lot of information being gathered, things to learn, results to get back and actual treatment plans to discuss, the one thing that remains constant is the need for our unwavering support for Wayne, Rachael, Grayson and Caleb as they navigate this battle as a family.
During this difficult time, the family is facing many unexpected expenses. Funds raised through this campaign will help cover the cost of food, gas, parking, and daily essentials while Caleb is indefinitely in the hospital. Your support will also help offset mounting medical bills and provide some relief as the family navigates this journey together. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their lives.
Wayne and Rachael have a lot on their plates right now and, due to the seriousness of Caleb’s condition, are not able to receive unscheduled visitors. If you would like to help, they are asking for gift cards to Weis (grocery store), Target, or gas cards. Funds donated here will go directly toward supporting Caleb’s big battle with lymphoma. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and encouragement. #BubbaStrong
