Our dear family friend, Caleb Farmer, has been a part of our and many of our baseball families lives for many years. He has spent countless hours with our families, always showing up with a smile, encouraging our kids, and being the kind of friend who shows up for everyone. Today, we are asking our community to show up for him.
In March 2025, Caleb was rushed to the Phoebe Putney Emergency Room after suddenly becoming extremely ill. Doctors discovered multiple blood clots in his lungs, placing him in critical condition. Emergency surgery was performed to remove the clots, and thankfully, Caleb survived this terrifying ordeal.
Further testing revealed the source of those blood clots:
➡️ A large mass in his upper thigh.
A biopsy and multiple scansconfirmed everyone’s worst fear — the mass was a cancerous tumor.
Because the tumor was deeply intertwined with muscle, Phoebe referred Caleb to Emory in Atlanta, where a specialist team could manage his complicated case. Over the next several months, Caleb endured weeks of radiation, followed by an extremely extensive and difficult surgery.
During this surgery, doctors removed a tumor the size of a football that stretched from above his knee, through his thigh, and up to his groin. To remove it, surgeons had to take a significant amount of muscle and some lymph nodes, leaving Caleb with long-term mobility challenges, ongoing wound care, and a very long road to recovery.
Caleb is still being treated at Emory. He has been unable to work since March, and at this time, there is no clear timeline for when he will be able to return to work.
As the holidays approach, and as Caleb and his family continue to navigate physical, emotional, and financial challenges, we are reaching out to our community for support.
Our goal is to raise $50,000
This will help Caleb and his family with:
✔ Medical bills
✔ Travel to and from Emory
✔ Daily living expenses
✔ Wound care needs
✔ Loss of income
Any donation — no matter the amount — will help ease the burden. If Caleb has ever touched your life, coached your child, cheered from the sidelines, or simply been a friend in your life, we ask you to consider helping him now.
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and love for Caleb. Every donation brings him one step closer to recovery and stability.
