My name is Caleb. I am a disabled combat veteran mechanic who served for 11 years in the US Army. Since leaving the Army, I have become an ambulance mechanic. For the last 8 years one of the issues I see continually is the need for more ambulances on the road. Sometimes ambulances break, but that doesn't mean people stop getting hurt. I feel I am in a unique position to help with that in the state of Colorado. I have done research with the state, started my rental business, and I even know how and where to get an ambulance to start. I just need help with funds. New ambulances are outside of my means($200k+), but I can purchase a used ambulance and fix it for a fraction of that cost. Banks don't want to fund me, the SBA has been unhelpful so far. I am trying to provide a service for everyone across the state, and I need your help to start.
My plan is to purchase a used ambulance, fix it, license and insure it, and then begin marketing it as available for rent on a short term basis as needed. All funds will be sent to the business account.
I am putting my money into this as well. I have closed one of my retirement accounts. After tax penalties its about 10k. I believe in this, as a service as well as a business. I felt it was time to put my money where my mouth is.
