As one of Sarah’s closest friends, I’ve had the privilege of knowing Cale since he was born. Our kids grew up side by side and are the same age, which makes this moment even more heartbreaking to witness.
Recently, Cale, the son of Sarah and Russ, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He has already begun treatment and faces a long road ahead filled with hospital visits, procedures, and chemotherapy.
If any of you know Cale, you know what a gentle, kind, funny, and caring person he is, and how deeply he is loved by everyone around him.
During these early stages, Sarah will be stepping away from work so she can be by his side for appointments, treatments, and the many challenges that come with fighting leukemia.
They will also be traveling to medical appointments about an hour away several times each week. Between the long drives, time away from work, and the everyday expenses that don’t stop during a medical crisis, the financial strain adds up quickly.
We are starting this fundraiser to help relieve some of the immediate financial pressure so Sarah can focus entirely on what matters most — helping Cale heal.
Donations will help with:
Lost income while his mom is caring for him full time
Travel to and from treatment appointments
Everyday household bills during this difficult time
All donations go directly to Sarah to help her provide the best care for Cale. Funds raised will support Sarah and Cale during this challenging time and can be used for travel, household bills, or anything else they need while focusing on his care.
Right now, their focus needs to be on helping Cale fight Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, not worrying about how to cover the unexpected costs that come with it.
Any support — whether through donating or sharing this page — means so much to this mother and son during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider keeping Cale and Sarah in your thoughts and prayers as they face the road ahead.
Thank you for surrounding them with love, strength, and support. ❤️
