Support Cal Gardner's Recovery

On May 25th, Cal was on his way home from volunteering as a driver, when an impaired driver crossed the center line and two lanes of traffic, striking Cal's vehicle head-on. The witness in the car behind Cal was a Preacher, who must have had a direct line to The Man Upstairs. Cal survived, but, suffered a fractured neck, broken ribs and a broken pelvis, among other injuries. The Preacher kept Cal conscious, until help could arrive, and we can't thank him enough! The police had to cut the door to get Cal out.

Since Cal retired in 1999, he has logged thousands of hours and miles, volunteer driving for organizations like ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton Housing Authority, Calumet County Disability Resource Center, Outagamie County Social Services, Winnebago County ADVOCAP, Fox Valley Warming Center, DAV and more.

Cal has a long road to recovery and the diver that hit him, is uninsured. Cal is a respected member of The Fox River Valley community and is an Army Veteran.
