Help Support Caitlyn's Adaptive Mountain Biking Dream

Hi, I’m Caitlyn Admire, and I was born with Spastic Hemiplegia, a form of cerebral palsy. Growing up, I didn’t let my disability hold me back. My twin brother always said, “Go Big or Go Home!” My parents got me on a snowboard at a young age, and I loved riding alongside my brothers. Snowboarding in the mountains became my second home, and it’s continued to bring me so much joy.

Unfortunately, after a bad crash and other life challenges, both my physical and mental health have taken a toll.

Despite these setbacks, my love for adventure hasn’t faded. I was introduced to adaptive mountain biking and started training on recumbent bikes through various foundations (Higher Ground and The Challenged Athletes Foundation of Idaho). I have also been experimenting being on a Sitzski during Winter months. Now, I’m working hard to raise the funds and hopefully receive some grants to get my very own custom bike. These bikes can cost up to $20,000.

Mountain biking brings me so much joy, and it’s something I haven’t experienced in a long time. A bike that’s custom-made to fit my body, with all the right equipment, would help me push beyond what I thought was possible.

P.S. Specifications: In order for Caitlyn to truly succeed at mountain biking she needs a custom bike built for her size and weight and specific adaptations to accommodate her disabilities. So far she has found the best bike to be the Mako.This bike is specially made in Crested Butte, Colorado. The cost is unfortunately $20,000.(maybe less).
