Update:5/12/25
We are fundraising for our granddaughter Caitlynn. She has developed bone cancer in her right leg on her shin bone or tibia bone.
So this is an 11 month update.
Caitlynn had her Tibia bone removed from her leg and cleaned and any cancer removed. They plated each end of the bone and screwed it back in place. And she has had Chemo for the last year 3 out of 4 weeks of every month in the last year. They are saying 1 more month of Chemo in Columbia. The 5 weeks of 5 day a week radiation in Springfield or Branson we hope.
Caitlynn is just now starting to walk on her leg again, that is going to require a lot of Physical therapy.
needless to say the expense traveling to and from appointments is a huge financial burden on Donnie and Nicole.Plus they have 2 other children a 4 year old and an 8 year old. Needless to say anything will help to them get through this trying time.
Caitlynn is tough and resilient and has understood what’s going on from the beginning. She got her driving permit on 6-12-24 and found out she has cancer that afternoon . Highest of highs to lowest of lows in one day. Has never asked why me and just wants to know what’s next. She has been a trooper. The only time she has become emotional really was when her hair started falling out this weekend.
anything you can spare to help the family will be much appreciated.
please keep Caitlynn in your prayers.
