Hello everyone my name is Austin Sierra I am a 21 year old from gananda NY. as many know i was involved in a motorcycle accident in Gananda NY which resulted in the loss of my left leg. I could not have recovered without the help of my amazing friends, family and community. I'm writing this tonight with great sadness. My close friend Caitlyn Harrington of Walworth NY was involved in a motorcycle accident at approximately 10:45pm last night 6/23/25 in the town of Marion, while riding her harley sportster 1200 collided with a pickup truck. Thankfully a delivery driver stopped and was able to call 911,she was then rushed to strong memorial hospital needing surgery for her injuries, which included She has a compound fracture to ulna and radius with a lot of metal worried about compartment syndrome. She has a complete fracture of femur. A broken ankle and thumb that she needs another 2 surgeries on her ankle. She has had 2 blood transfusions. They x-rayed her spine so still not cleated by neurosurgery. And she thinks she lost consciousness for several minutes. Caitlyn is a beloved member of our community not only to myself but to all of our community, immediately after my accident she started a go fund me for me and made sure I had everything I needed to make my recovery quick and more enjoyable. Caitlyn was always the one to lend a helping hand and always helped those in need,She always had a smile and was always very energetic. It is going to be a long road to recovery for Caitlyn. Multiple weeks of rehab is required. If anyone can make this recovery it's Caitlyn! I still remember the first day she got her Harley. She loved that bike more than anything in the whole world. She called me so excited to finally get out and go riding. I'll always cherish those rides we had together and once she's well and recovered, going on many more! I am looking for the community's support to support such an amazing family through this tough time! thank you all so much prayers are always appreciated! God bless you all!
