Hi everyone,

As many of you may already know, our dear friend, Aaron Tan, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 24, 2025 at the age of 33. Aaron had just moved to DC with his partner Caitlyn only two months prior to this, and they were just getting started on their life together. His loss is devastating and is still very much unreal to all of us.

Often times, in cases where a partner passes, there is an outpouring of support, but one of the struggles that we often do not talk about are the financial stressors that can happen with losing someone, especially when it comes to rent, food, and other expenses. In that vein, I am hoping we can raise some unrestricted financial support for Caitlyn that she can spend on whatever she so chooses, be it helping with basic needs and expenses, to help honor him, or even just to take care of herself.

With regards to the memorial services, I will post information about specifics when it is available.

Thank you all for your love and support. Aaron's loss was incredibly difficult and I imagine it will continue to be difficult for quite some time. However, with the uncanny way he was able to shape so many lives and stories, I just know he will live on through us.
