Support Caitlin's Seminary Journey

Dear Friends and Family- near and far,

I am writing to request your support, financial or otherwise, so that I may continue studying at the Seminary of the Christian Community. The calling to become a Christian Community priest began more than a dozen years ago, and it has only grown stronger with time. I long to serve more deeply and now have the opportunity to continue my studies. My family supports me in this, which involves spending 3 months in Toronto this autumn and another semester in the spring. The long-term vision includes the Ordination Semester (about 3 months in the autumn of 2025) or the possibility of studies towards becoming a Hospice Chaplain. With each additional step along the seminary path, I will be better able to further the healing work of the Christian Community.

For a bit more background, I have spent four years in the Distance Learning Program of the Seminary, a year as a First Year Student, and another year in a part-time study/internship in Sacramento, CA. This would be my second year as a full-time student.

Room and Board: $10,000/10 months

Flights: $2100 / 3 Round trip flights to Canada

Transportation-Gas/ Insurance $1500

Fees/Miscellaneous Expenses: $1500

Seminary Donation: $6700 ($9,000 Canadian)

Insurance: $1250

Storage: $1,000

Total for online Fundraiser: $24,050
