Good Morning Washington County. My name is Autumn Kosey. I wanted to make a post about my family’s devastating situation that happened last night. My sister is 14 years old and has been raised on our hobby farm since day one. Cailin just lost her world in a flash flood. Unfortunately she has lost most of her livestock, a barn, and supplies. My sister has been in 4-H since the time she was a small kid. She has traveled the country showing her animals. My sister gives back by the community doing community service as much as possible. Cailin has the biggest heart in the world. Cailin will be starting high school in the next few weeks and I want to help her as much as possible. She listened to her favorite goats and the babies lose their live last night.
I wanted to start a fund to help her rebuild a barn, fences, a few new goats and feed.
My mom posted “
We lost the barn with all of my silky fainters. The does were all locked in the barn that we can see pieces of downstream. We can hear some of them screaming but can not get to them yet to see how many may be alive. I was able to get through the water and pull the bucks out of their fence.
We got most of the Boers out of their building. They were in water up to their heads and are alive for now. The walls in that building are now blown out. All fences are gone.
We lost all feed.”
Please donate or offer kind words to help a 14 year during an extremely hard time in her life. My heart is broken for my sister. Thank you
