Support Caiden's Fight Against Cancer

Update on Caiden!
Thank you SO much to everyone who has donated!

Caiden was admitted to the hospital yesterday for his last full round of chemo before his bone marrow transplant. He will be in the hospital at least until Monday doing around the clock chemo. Afterwards, he will have tests done at the end of October to test his hearing, heart, sight and lungs to see how everything functions before getting his bone marrow transplant, as this could impact his hearing, heart, lungs and sight. It can also cause tingling and numbness in his fingers and hands and feet and toes. They plan to then schedule him for clinical visits to start collecting some stem cells. They plan on admitting him the week of Thanksgiving to begin the Bone Marrow Transplant, as long as his white blood cell and platelet counts look good. We ask for prayers, especially during this time as infection risk can be high and dangerous, even more dangerous than while receiving chemo.

As of today, he is doing well and in good spirits and feeling good with the chemo. last time he was admitted for chemo, he did great the whole week and then when he got home, he went down hill. We are hoping he does better this time when he gets home! They reduced one of his chemo meds to hopefully help with that. Thank you all!

On October 28th, 2023, Caiden was diagnosed with cancer, and since then, he has faced each day with unwavering strength. After months of grueling chemotherapy, February brought hope as his scans showed signs of improvement—the lesions in his lungs and the mass near his aorta were shrinking. But on Thursday, September 12th, that hope was shattered. The mass near his aorta had tripled in size, and new spots appeared in his kidneys and liver.

Caiden now faces an even more intense battle. He will need to be hospitalized for aggressive chemotherapy treatments every eight hours, along with two bone marrow transplants. This difficult journey will prevent him from working, leaving him without income for daily expenses.

If you are able to support Caiden, Kara, and the kids in any way, whether through donations or by contributing to a meal train I'll be organizing, it would mean the world to us. Please keep Caiden, Kara, and the kids in your prayers as they navigate this unimaginable challenge. Your kindness and prayers bring light during this dark time. Thank you so much for your love and support.
