In late 2022, Caela began experiencing debilitating back pain that worsened over time. Without insurance, she tried every holistic method available. But by the end of 2023, the pain became so severe she couldn’t move her legs or turn her body.
With insurance in place by early 2024, Caela began a long and painful journey of doctor visits, biopsies, injections, and therapies. After nearly a year of searching for answers, she was finally diagnosed with a rare spinal tumor—osteoblastoma—in her L5 vertebra.
In December 2024, Caela underwent two major surgeries to remove the tumor and stabilize her spine with rods and screws. She fought hard through recovery, but in April 2025, the tumor returned—and 4mm of bone is already gone.
Now, she faces a second complex surgery with a team of top specialists, including a world-renowned bone tumor expert. During the operation, doctors will attempt to remove the mass and biopsy for osteosarcoma. There are still many unknowns—possible radiation, additional rods, and months of recovery ahead.
Your donation, kind words, and prayers will help ease the financial and emotional burden as Caela enters this next difficult chapter. Let’s rally around her and offer the support she so deeply deserves
