Hi Everyone!

I am organizing this on behalf of Cadie and Steven. They are both loved by so many, and not the types to ask for help - so we need to come together and do it for them!

Steven is undergoing liver cancer treatments at Duke and will ultimately require a liver transplant. They will be needing help with medical bills, transportation costs, lodging, and additional medical costs. The process could last well over a year.

No amount is too small, and every little bit helps them continue on and hopefully ease a little bit of the financial burden things like this can cause a family.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to look at this fundraiser. I find myself in need of help to get the life saving care I need so that I can continue to raise my incredible daughter. I don’t want anything more than more time with my daughter, but I need the help of friends, family and even strangers to get there. So if you are unable to help please instead choose to share this page.

The final fundraising goal is our best estimation based on what we’ve been told by our treatment team and my insurance carrier. Raised funds will be used for copays and gaps between medical costs and insurance coverage, transportation and lodging during treatment, procedures required prior to admittance to the transplant list, and after surgery care and rehabilitation for at least one month after transplant. It is at least one calendar year of consistent treatments and procedures leading up to a transplant.

If there is any additional funds left over after all of our medical costs have been covered the remaining funds will be donated to another individual in need of a liver transplant at so that they may have a renewed chance at life.

If I should happen to pass away during this journey, any raised funds will be set aside in a trust for my 3 year old daughter, Scarlett’s future.
