We are starting a GoFundMe to help raise funds for our good friend Megan and her son Caden. Caden was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his cerebellum at 7 years old in November of 2015. In 2015, Caden underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, but after that first surgery, Caden received the news that his tumor is a Pilocytic Astrocytoma and had evolved to a malignant grade 3 tumor. In 2017, he had a biopsy, and it showed that he had a BRAF v600e (Gene Mutation) as well, which makes these tumors extremely hard to treat. Despite the difficulties, Caden has continued to fight his battle with incredible tenacity.

We believe that his most recent round of chemo was the cause of his Uveitis (inflammation of the eye that can lead to vision loss). Due to the Uveitis, Caden had to be taken off chemo in November of 2024. In February of 2025, only 3 months after being off the chemo, Caden’s tumor has grown again. With that heartbreaking news, the best option right now is to start Caden on a type of radiation therapy called Proton Therapy at Mayo in Rochester, MN. His start date for this therapy is planned for March 10th and could last up to six weeks. We would like to raise money for Megan and Caden to help with all the expenses that come with having to travel for this therapy. They will be driving back and forth to Rochester, MN, requiring hotel accommodations, gas, and meals. We are incredibly grateful for any support you can provide.
