Their child, Caden, 15, was recently diagnosed with mature B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma after a sudden and frightening medical emergency that led to a PICU stay and extensive testing. A large tumor was found in the chest near the heart and airway, and additional areas of involvement have required an urgent and intensive treatment plan. Chemotherapy is beginning immediately, and the road ahead will involve prolonged hospital stays, procedures, and ongoing care.

Right now, their family’s only focus is being at their child’s side — advocating for him, comforting him, and getting him through treatment. As many parents know, nothing prepares you for this. Between time away from work, travel, medical costs, and the everyday expenses that don’t stop during treatment, the financial strain adds up quickly.
