Support Caddie's Fight for Recovery

On August 12th, Bloomingdale High sophomore Cadence “Caddie” Schelle collapsed at golf practice in front of her parents and teammates. She was rushed to the hospital where doctors discovered a ruptured AVM, causing a massive brain bleed. She was life-flighted to a Level One Trauma Center and is now fighting for her life.

Caddie is a bright, spunky 15-year-old who loves golfing with her dad, cheering on her brother in the band, helping her mom give back to the community, and living out her best Swiftie life. She lights up every room with her bubbly personality, fierce determination, and heart for others.

The Schelle family has spent decades pouring into this community; by coaching youth sports, volunteering at schools, running fundraisers, supporting local businesses, supporting the military, welcoming neighbors into their home with food, laughter, and generosity, and so much more.
If you’ve been handed water at a local 5K, cheered on your child’s team, attended a community event, or supported a cause in the Brandon area, chances are the Schelles were involved in it. Their web of generosity reaches far and wide, and there are so many of us who have been fortunate enough to be caught in it. They give without thinking, always with a big hug and a smile, and refuse to take anything in return.

Caddie faces a long and uncertain road to recovery. The Schelle family is facing an overwhelming financial burden due to the extensive medical care required—intensive care, ongoing hospitalization, and specialized treatments. The costs are staggering, and the road ahead will be both emotionally and financially challenging. With our collective support, we can help ease this pressure, allowing the family to focus entirely on Caddie’s healing and recovery.

Please donate if you can, share her story widely, and keep the Schelle family in your prayers. Every dollar, every share, every prayer makes a difference.

Caddie needs us, but more importantly, we need Caddie. The Schelle’s and their amazing team of doctors still have many tough decisions to make, and Caddie is still facing dangerous hurdles. She has big things to do in this life, and we know this little pistol will fight her hardest to see those dreams come to fruition.

Thank you for lifting this family up during their hardest fight.
