Hi, I’m Ava, head baker + owner of Butter Moon Bake Co in Denver, Colorado.
Butter Moon was born out of necessity. A business that was flexible enough to allow me to care for two small children while navigating single-parenthood and entrepreneurship. It has since grown into a community-oriented micro-bakery, one that allows me to give back to my own community in meaningful ways, all while putting pastries on your tables.
The time has come for me to lean on my community as I press hard into expansion and growth. It’s important to note that while expansion is exciting, it is also critical in order for me to continue operating BMBC at this time as I have reached a space where growth is essential to keep my current operation afloat. With your support, Butter Moon will have the opportunity to expand in critical ways in order for me to keep this dream alive. With expansion comes the need for funding to pay folks in my community a livable wage, reliable transportation to offer consistent delivery options, the chance to offer country-wide weekly shipping, keeping up with supply price increases, commissary fees, market equipment, access to attending additional markets, proper licensing, and the opportunity to finally be able to pay myself.
