Our sweet furbaby Butchie while on vacation was on my lap and jumped off onto concrete patio. The following morning when picking him up to go outside he yelped. That happened 3-4 times that day and by evening his back legs were paralyzed. Took him to a veterinarian which examined him. Told us she believed he blown a disc. Gave us prednisone, gabapentin, and methocarbamol for Butchie. Told us o see our vet when we got home. So we took our precious boy to his veterinarian for an X-ray to find out the same thing. He referred us to a neurologist for a MRI. Which we happen to see yesterday. She examined him and did a ultra sound on Butchie. Told us he was probably IVDD 5. But not certain until a MRI was done. Which will cost us $5-6,000.00. Down payment for surgery alone would be 13,000.00. Which we can not afford either. Butchie before his accident was such a extra special chihuahua. He was so playful with his toys, smart, well minded, and a huge personality. Not to mention so adorable. We are asking for help so we can at least get him a MRI.
