Support Butch with his medical bills during chemo

This is my Dad. Some of you all may know him as Charles, Butch, Coach, or as my daughter calls him, her Poppy. If you know him, you’ll know my dad is one of the strongest, caring, and fun guys you’ll meet. If you’ve met him, you won’t forget him. My dad loves his family, golf, and the beach.
A few years ago, through pure serendipity, he met his forever person, Kari. They had lost contact years before, but reconnected after Kari’s son had posted a golf bag for sale on marketplace. Eventually, Kari saw that her son and my Dad had been golfing together by a picture they had posted. They were able to reconnect and the rest is history. They are truly each others best friends and have created a wonderful life with one another. Just a couple years ago, they decided to fulfill their dream and moved away to start a new life together at the beach.
They have truly been living their best life together. However, on May 24th of this year, my Dad went to the emergency room due to some stomach pains he had been having. Little did we know he was about to receive terrible news. They had found a tumor and had diagnosed my Dad with Stage IV Metastatic Esophageal Cancer that had spread not only to his liver, but to his lymph nodes as well. My dad is 47 years old and lives a very healthy and active lifestyle. Regardless, we understand cancer does not discriminate.
Since we’ve received this news, everything has been moving very fast with preparing him the best that we can for the aggressive and extensive treatment he will be receiving. Although we are extremely grateful for the rapid response from his medical team to his diagnosis, by no means were we prepared for this in any way. Shortly following his diagnosis, my Dad received more bad news that he will no longer be able to work due to his condition. With my Dad no longer being able to work, him and Kari will have mounting monthly and medical bills. As of right now, our understanding is insurance will not be covering all of the expenses for treatments and appointments, therefore my Dad and Kari are having to pay for a lot out of pocket.
Our dad has spent our entire lives giving to us and working so hard to provide us with a good life. Now it’s our time as his family to step up and help him as best as we can in this journey. We are asking for donations to go towards his treatment and to help maintain their monthly expenses. Dad has always aimed to provide the best that he could for his family and is now physically unable to provide. Having something to put towards these bills, being able to lift this financial burden, would be a blessing, and allow him to focus on his treatment and healing. Thank you in advance for anything that can be donated.
