During and after the passage of Hurricane Melissa, our family’s home, and our surrounding community, were left damaged and devastated. The strong winds and heavy rain destroyed houses and flattened farmland, taking down trees, crops, livestock, and power lines. Many have been left without food, shelter, or a source of income. Our area currently has no electricity, clean running water, cell service, or safe roads to access basic necessities.

Though we were aware of the storm’s potential, nothing could have prepared us for the extent of the destruction we’re facing now.

Our community in Burnt Ground, Ramble (Hanover), nestled between Westmoreland and St. James, has been completely shaken by Hurricane Melissa. Your donations will go directly toward helping families recover, that is, providing food, clean water, temporary shelter, and rebuilding support for those most affected.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to restoring our homes, our farms, and our hope.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
