My name is Sopheap and the younger sister in-law of Bunthet whom I am doing fund raise for. Bunthet is a good family man and always work hard for his family. He worked in garment factory in Cambodia and commute everyday by motorbike about 80km(49.71 miles) round trips. It took like an hour to go there an hour back. He was a good worker and rarely missed work.

Over a year a go he started to feel not well and thought it was just normal cold or tiredness and never thought to checked up with dr untill one day he was feeling very sick and took a day off from work to see Dr. That moring after dropped of the kids to school he feel dizzy and weak... and rush to the clinic. He fell when he got to the clinic and scared us all. Dr ran some tests and result came back was something that scare us all and unbelievable. Dr said has kidney failure and only like 3% working. They both dont even understand how serious this was and dr didnt even recomend him to go any place for dialysis or a to see a specialist. They keep him for almost amonth with Iv and medication then discharged home.... he got sick again and back to clinic then to trip to hospital in Thailand and he fell in there too and was admitted to the ICU. After that they recomeded him to do dialysis 2times/wk, but dialysis in Phnom Penh cost $100 plus per session and sometimes need blood transfusion and transportation to go there, so one trip cost $200-300. They had sold anything they have include their motor bike and some support from family. It has been over a year and he never been the same, it got worse. They recomemd tranplant and they finally have live donor but the cost of operation alone is $60,000 with 3 months stay in India. As a family we have collected any money we could to help, but noting is near the amount needed for the operation. so they also have to sell the last piece of land they have left, but right now it is harder to sell with current economy in Cambodia and war conflict at the boarder. Even selling the land is still short. He is now in India for over 3 months to do all testing and his kidney decline gradually and is now not working at all. We need the fund ready to do operation soon. If the land is sold we still need less than $20,000.
