Hello, my name is Bunny. I suffer from a neurological condition called FND, a few other neuro disorders, and a lot of psychiatric issues like PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, chronic depression, and fatigue. These conditions and mental health issues can be very debilitating on the body and have taken away just about my entire life, including my job, my ability to walk, and doing anything else a normal person would throughout the day like cooking, cleaning, and using the bathroom. It has taken away my ability to walk and causes me to have about 6-10 seizures a day, and I feel like I have lost my life and independence. The worst part of all is I am a mother of 2 beautiful children and am not able to chase them around, let alone get myself to do anything some days.
I recently came across information about service animals and read how helpful they can be, from getting medications to aiding in oncoming or upcoming seizures for the owner to lay down or get somewhere safe. They also provide comfort for PTSD and mental health and can make life a little bit easier all around. I have reached out to an organization that is willing to help with placement, but I am currently not able to afford the tuition of the dog because I am out of work and in the process of getting on disability (if I ever get accepted).
I typically don't like to ask for help and decided to swallow my pride at the age of 31 to reach out and finally ask for some help for a closer chance at my independence and help to walk for mobility as well. In doing this, I'm hoping to achieve not only a ton of help but also a great fluffy family member to help me along my healing journey to become better for myself and my children. Thank you to anyone who reads this, stops to skim through it, or helps! Anything helps! - Thank you, Bunny!
(I will post more information the more i get! )
