Bernie was a piglet from Buffalo, New York

But he knew deep inside he was more than just pork.

His owner before left him hurt and cold

They didn't want him unless he could be sold.

Bernie's new Mom and his Dad looked different than him

They had adopted Bernie and they were human.

Bernie was a sick little piglet you see

But he had so many friends and such a big family.

Bernie was much too little and scared at the start

But his brothers and sisters knew he had a huge heart.

Bernie ate and got better and was never alone

Because when you're with family you're always at home.

Born on December 8th, Bernie was attacked by his mother and lost approximately half of his face. The same day he was rescued by Ben and Richelle Zawacki. He's been being nursed back to health and has become known as Buffalo Bernie! He has found his forever home with the Zawackis and their 5 kids and farm, but help is still needed with further vet and feed bills. Please consider helping if you're able to. Thank you!
