Our dear family member and friend Buddy Mergenthaler was admitted to Helena VA hospital on October 1st, 2025, with complications of liver disease and life-threatening conditions. He was life-flighted to Benefis Health in Great Falls directly into the ICU for his care. He is now currently fighting for his life.

Buddy is a Helena native and honorably served our country in the Army for five years and served a tour in Iraq. As a soldier, Buddy has a fighting spirit and the will to fight to get well. His nurturing mother, Bobbi, and his loving sister, Sunni, haven't left his side. Buddy has brought laughter and joy into so many lives, but now he and his family need our help. We're doing everything we can as a family, but the financial strain from medical bills, transportation, time off work, and future aftercare is overwhelming. We are asking for help whether through donations, sharing this page, or prayers. Anything helps and means the world to Buddy and his family.
