Hi, my name is Alaynea and I’m raising funds for my uncle, William Sprout. However, that name may not ring a bell if you're more familiar with the name that truly fits the person he is, your brother, your goofy neighbor, your truest friend, Bud Sprout. Recently, Bud went to the hospital to seek help for some health issues that brought up some concern. It was there, surrounded by his loved ones, that he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This was devastating news and has shaken our family and friends to our core. As I’m sure many of you know, Bud is one of the kindest, selfless, and silliest people you could ever meet, a heart truly made of gold. This is not the journey any of us had expected for Bud to face, but he will not go at it alone. With how far he’s traveled and the life and experiences he’s lived, I have no doubts in his strengths to move forward with the smile he wears so well.

To give you further explanation of what is happening and what our plans for the funds; Bud was informed on August 2nd that he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. They had found a mass on his pancreas and discovered the cancer had spread to his liver. At this stage, surgery to remove the cancer is typically not possible. Our family is doing as much research as we can to find treatments and plans to help manage symptoms. Bud will begin his chemotherapy Wednesday mid-August. We are raising the funds to help pay for his medical expenses, alternate treatments such as stem cells which research has shown to significantly help symptoms, as well as looking into second opinions and to seek further treatments such as the nano-knife. The funds will also go towards living expenses such as housing, groceries, and potentially transportation/travel expenses to seek out the help he needs.
