Support Bud & Mel’s Family: Rebuilding After Car Crash

I am reaching out on behalf of my brother, Buddy, his partner, Mel, and their two young sons. This year has been transformative for Bud; he secured his first full-time job, found a place for their family, and has been putting in the hard work day in and day out to rebuild his life and provide for his family of four.

Earlier this evening, just after dropping their son off with a family member, Bud and Mel were on their way to do some Christmas shopping when their car was struck by a drunk driver. The driver was found to have a blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit and showed no remorse at the scene. The vehicle sustained severe damage and has been towed; its drivability is currently uncertain but not looking good at all. We are very grateful that Bud and Mel survived the accident. Bud and Mel did suffer minor injuries, but thankfully, they are not life-threatening.

This was Bud’s first car, a symbol of his hard work and dedication. Their car was more than just a means of transportation; it was essential for daily activities such as commuting to work, taking the children to school, and attending medical appointments. Without it, they face significant challenges in maintaining their livelihood and caring for their family, especially with the cost of living and the need to get to and from work.
