Hi! I never thought I'd need to do one of these fundraisers, but here we are. The cat in the photo is my beloved Buckaroo (or Buck, as I call him). Today is Sunday, February 16, and he's in the hospital right now taking IV fluids and some other meds after a period of vomiting on Saturday, February 15. The vet is saying he may have a partial obstruction according to the x-ray, but it will require an ultrasound to be sure and could require surgery, which will be quite expensive (the quoted range was $14,000 - $17,000). The issue is, they need the payment up front before they'll do the work.

I will also commit to the following: if he ends up not needing surgery, I will refund everyone's donations (on a pro-rated basis to cover the care he's receiving now)

I wouldn't ask for your help if I had anywhere else to turn. This little guy means the world to me, even more so since his brother Banzai (we liked that movie) passed suddenly over Thanksgiving weekend last year. If enough of us chip in, I think we can help this guy (and me) out. We'd both really appreciate it!
