Our beloved cat Butterscotch, who we lovingly call Bubby, means the world to our family. Recently, he faced a sudden and serious health crisis. After we noticed he was having trouble breathing, we rushed him to the vet. At first, the vet suspected a urinary blockage, but after further tests, and a procedure, we learned that the real cause was much more severe—he is suffering from heart disease, and diabetes. It was heartbreaking to hear, and he has now been in the ICU for two days as the veterinary team works tirelessly to return him to the Bubby we know.

The costs for Bubby's ICU care, ongoing treatments, and medications are quickly adding up, and we want to do everything we can to give him the best chance at recovery. Butterscotch is such a special part of our family, and to his brother Hashbrown, who he’d be lost without. Seeing him fight so hard has been both inspiring and overwhelming. Bubby is just 9 years old and has so much more life to live. On top of this, our family is already doing everything they can to support me and my twin sister as we go to college, which makes it even harder to cover these unexpected expenses. We are doing everything possible to support him, but we need a little help from our community to give Bubby the care he needs.
