Michael Angelo Rishi Das Hughes “Bubba” to those who loved him, was a man in motion. At 51, he still carved through concrete like a teenager chasing freedom. Skateboarding wasn’t just his passion, it was his meditation, his art, his way of touching the divine. Bubba didn’t just skate, he inspired many, he built community, shared wisdom, and lived with purpose.
He lived with grit and grace, balancing the weight of the world on worn out wheels. Behind the effortless flow of his skating, was a quiet strength: financial burdens he carried alone, responsibilities he never complained about, and the unwavering care he gave to his mother, who has been battling breast cancer for years now.
Bubba gave everything; his time, his heart, his soul. In the wake of his passing, we ask for help to carry what he can no longer shoulder.
” You have to do things and immediately forget what you did in order to be connected to the universal spiral god consciousness, the one. I did it. I did it cause I do it. I forgot what I did.” ~ Bubba Hughes
He lived in the moment, free from attachment, deeply connected to something greater. Let us honor that connection now, by lifting his legacy and supporting the family he loved fiercely.
Your gift supports the following:
a memorial that reflects bubba’s spirit: real, raw, and radiant.
Final expenses and debt he left behind.
