BU Fatakada is Boston University’s premier co-ed Garba-Raas team, featuring students at BU who proudly share their culture with the Boston University community. Originating from Gujarat, India, Garba-Raas is a traditional folk dance style that has grown into a competitive dance form due to the efforts of South Asian-American students. As one of the oldest teams in the national collegiate Garba-Raas circuit, we take pride in upholding BU’s legacy while enriching our campus through the energy, tradition, and spirit of our dance.
